Khartoum – Al-Sudani
Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the drones which recently targeted Sudan were launched from Ethiopian territory, warning that Ethiopia’s actions represent a dangerous development that will undermine security and stability in the region.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Muawiya Osman Khalid, said Sudan had exercised the utmost restraint in the hope that Ethiopia would cease its aggression. He called on the international community to end its destructive silence regarding the attacks Sudan is facing.
He added: “We reserve the right to safeguard our country’s security through all legitimate means. We also reserve the right to inform regional and international organizations of the scale of the conspiracy directed against us.”
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel Qadir, explained that drones operated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and its allies had targeted all types of civilian facilities across the country.
He noted that one of the objectives of these attacks was to prevent citizens from returning to their homes.
Abdel Qadir reaffirmed Sudan’s commitment to the principle of strategic patience, stressing that the government would present international organizations with evidence demonstrating the scale of the conspiracy facing the country.
